Dr. Jane Mathen was born and raised in India where she attained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Kerala. While in India she performed dentistry in a hospital setting. Dr. Mathen moved to Wisconsin in 1985 where she attended Marquette University School of Dentistry. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1989. Dr. Mathen joined our practice in Appleton in 1998.
Dr. Mathen is a member of the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association, and the Outagamie County Dental Society. She stays active in the dental community as a supervising dentist for the Fox Valley Technical College Dental Hygiene Program in Appleton. Dr. Mathen also volunteers at the Tri-County Dental Clinic. Throughout the years Dr. Mathen has attended numerous continuing education courses in all aspects of dentistry.
When Dr. Mathen isn’t giving excellent care to her patients, she enjoys sewing, listening to NPR, and cooking. She is a wonderful cook of authentic Indian food and treats her staff to her delicacies throughout the year. Dr. Mathen also loves to spend time with her family which consists of her husband, two adult daughters and their husbands, and three beautiful granddaughters.
